“She Talks To Trees”
Warnings: um… dunno… extreme gardening?
Thursday, Day 11
A Quick Tour.
Before moving into Brodie Mason‘s old condo Yasmin Onnen had to give it a touch of her green thumb.
She stripped the orange paint from the walls so that natural wood color would show. She added more plants and ivy to the walls.
Inside Yasmin stripped the paint from the walls as well. Yaz is a firm believer of re-using and recycling items, hence the reclaimed shutters being used as window treatments and the mismatched dining room chairs.
In the kitchen Yaz found old cabinets, stripped most of the white paint herself, and then had them installed. Mismatched appliances and mason jars re-purposed as light fixtures finished the look she was going for.
Yasmin never uses washing machines — she would rather wash her clothes outside and hang them to dry — so she converted her laundry room into a greenhouse.
Her second floor is empty as she has no use for it yet…
After the orgy that was NPC-palooza, Yasmin wakes up slightly drained. Today however she starts her job as a Natural Scientist so she needs to pep up fast.
Although she’s not a vegetarian, Yasmin tries to eat as less meat as possible. All of those hot dogs yesterday really messed up her tummy. Today she returns to her usual diet of fruit parfait.
Yasmin’s girlfriend(?) Noelee Andrews arrives to take her to work.
Well, that outfit is… special.
*Note to self to find default replacements for the lab coat*
As Yasmin stops to get her mail, dancer Diego Bossanova stops by to heart-fart over her. I don’t think Diego realizes that he doesn’t have a chance with her or he thinks he can win her over with his ~charm~.
But being a popularity sim means you have to be friendly to everyone, even the douchey neighbor that stares at your chest all day long.
Luckily Yaz’s friend, nanny Angie Killeen, walks by to rescue her from Diego’s babbling.
Angie tells Diego how wonderful his daughter Cyan is doing at the day care. She really loves to dance which she, of course, gets from her daddy.
Yaz leaves her guests to mingle amongst themselves. Her main priority is planting container gardens at special areas around the condo (using her own organic compost of course).
And she starts her hydroponic garden in the greenhouse.
When she returns to her guests she is quickly bored with their conversation of children and dancing.
She bids them good night…
and settles into bed.
Friday, Day 12
Sadie Biltmore stops by and loiters around the front yard. Sadie and Yaz are almost friends and get along very well. Since it’s Yaz’s day off, however, she wants to concentrate on cleaning up her yard. Hoes before Hos.
First thing first, Yaz tends to the sickly apple tree in her front yard. Using the non-lethal organic pesticide created by Minka Yomoshoto, Yasmin helps heal her favorite tree.
Then she tackles the rest of the garden.
The falling leaves will make a nice compost!
After trimming the bushes Yasmin realizes that the apple tree needs more attention. She decides to give it a pep talk.
Yasmin: Come on Apple Jack! You can do it! We don’t want any bland apples from you, no siree!
And continues talking to the tree…
Yamin: *sings* Let me tell you bout the birds and the bees and the flowers and the trees and the moon up above and a thing called “Love!”
Annnd continues talking to the tree…
Yasmin: Hey! Don’t worry about that chick that just walked by. Eyes on me, Mister. We’re going to get through this, together! You have to believe in yourself! Repeat after me — “I will make mouth-watering apples… I will make mouth-watering apples…”
Soon it starts to rain. Yasmin is incredibly stinky after all of that gardening — not that she minds being stinky — so she heads inside to take a relaxing bath.
Her indoor plants are starting to bud!
For dinner Yaz tries a new recipe she recently learned for Goopy Carbonara.
Then it’s time for bed.
Saturday, Day 13
The day starts with another healthy breakfast of fruit parfait before work.
Then she’s off to hunt algae.
The first thing Yasmin does upon returning home is pay rent to her landlord Fitz Biltmore.
With algae hunting being a lonely business and tree-talking being so one-sided, Yasmin is craving some time with her homies.
She calls Noelee and Angie over to hang out.
So far Yasmin only has eyes for Noelee but who knows how long that will last. Noelee seems interested in a lot of different sims in the neighborhood. Yasmin fears that she is just a fling to Noelee.
And now-a-days it seems that wherever Angie goes Cindy Lou Larsen goes too. As long as Angie is happy, Yasmin guesses. But Yaz would like to spend more time alone with her friend.
Yaz and Noelee become best friends. Maybe now Noelee will stop flirting with every sim in Oceanside? Doubtful…
Cindy Lou agrees with Angie that there should be laws against teen/adult relationships in Oceanside. Yaz and Noelee, advocates of “free-love,” think that teens are old enough to make their own choices who they can date. Luckily the conservatives and the liberals can debate without hating each other.
Angie is always trying to recruit sims into the Blue Hat Society. Noelee is her next victim. Yasmin thinks the bougie club is ridiculous. I mean, who wants to wear big blue hats and pink dresses with pearls? It’s pretty barbaric! What do they even do?
The ladies move the party to the hot tub where more fun is had by all. Yasmin and Angie become besties!
However, Yasmin’s true feelings for Angie become known!
Soon it’s time to say goodnight to her friends and go to bed.
And ponder on her new feelings for her best friend.
Notes: After NPC-palooza Yasmin’s house was very tame! Most of her wants were nature related so I pretty much just let her do her nature thing 🙂
A Natural Science Museum is supposed to be created to go with her career, but it needs to be in the Business District that isn’t unlocked yet.
Thanks for reading! ^.^
