PICKWICK FAMILY COUNSELING

Welcome to Pickwick Family Counseling, the home and office of Oceanside’s new family counselor, Phillipe Pickwick.

After numerous fights amongst the denizens of Oceanside, politician Malcolm Landgraab knew he was in desperate need of a counselor to overcome all of the unhealthy negative feelings. Phillipe Pickwick recently took up the mantle of bar keep at the Oceanside Country Club making him the perfect sim to solve the town’s woes.

I mean… because… bartenders listen to everyone’s problems anyway, right?

Exterior Front

This impressive Dutch Colonial brick home built by architect Fitz Biltmore rests at 58 Moneywell Blvd., directly behind the Oceanside Country Club. It boasts three bedrooms and three baths, a large kitchen, a lovely entertaining room, a study, and a separate area for the Family Counseling services.

The overgrown ivy and wisteria lends to the charm of the building.

A plaque on the side directs patients that they are indeed in the right place.

Phillipe’s backyard is small but there is still room for entertaining.

A lovely lime fruit tree is located in the front yard.

Vestibule

The Vestibule divides the entryway into two areas: a door that leads to Phillipe’s residence…

and double doors that lead to the family counseling room.

Family Counseling Room

This large office is where Phillipe counsels his patients. It has comfy seating where the patients can sit or lounge on the sofa, and plenty of tissues if need be.

Residence Great Room

The Great Room is where Phillipe spends most of his time watching television, reading a book, dining, and entertaining new friends.

Study/Office

Since the counseling room is only for his sessions with his patients, Phillipe does most of his work in his study.

Phillipe never forgets his humble beginnings.

Kitchen

The large kitchen is slightly closed off from the rest of the home and features state of the art appliances.

The laundry is incorporated into the kitchen.

I see this in British TV shows all of the time so I thought I would try it in this home. Don’t know why you would want to do laundry where you make food but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.  I mean, don’t your clothes end up smelling like whatever food you just cooked? Am I overthinking this?

Owner’s Suite

Phillipe isn’t really that much of an interior designer. He just buys what he likes, which apparently is a lot of black, gray, and yellow.

No photos of the other two bedrooms and bath because they’re not decorated yet.

Notes

• I don’t know what style I decorated this house in… masculine contemporary? Is that a thing? I do like the white, black, and yellow combo though. I have never used those colors together before and quite like how it turned out. I decided to keep the walls white to not distract from the other two contrasting colors.
• No top down images because I forgot. 😞
