“Great Expectations”
Warnings: orphans, levitating toddlers, fist fights, stinkiness, whining, cat art, and an attempt at a toddler challenge.
On a frosty winter day a spaceship hurdled down crashing into Hope Rock on the island of Oceanside. Inside eight orphaned toddlers and their guardian emerged miraculously unscathed except for their missing memories. These nine brave souls, refugees from the Supernatural Wars of SimCity, make up the Second Pilgrimage.
Sunday, Day 14
“A Bad Beginning”
After the crash social worker Felicity Wayward and her wards make their way to their new residence, The Wayward Home For Forgotten Children. Back in SimCity Felicity rescued and housed human children whose parents were casualties of the war. Felicity and the toddlers narrowly escaped a zombie invasion intent on destroying their hideout in Riverblossom Hills.
Even though her memories were lost from the crash, Felicity is more than grateful to be in this strange land of fresh air and green grass and thankful that the children will never know the terror of the War.
Speaking of the children — let’s meet them. Elise Welchington is an 8-0-8-1-8 Virgo interested in crime, food, and travel. She is unlucky and brooding but you would never know it by that cute, dimpled smile. Elise’s parents perished during the Great Werewolf Attacks of Moonlight Falls.

Jacoby Bond is a 9-1-9-5-1 Virgo interested in animals and the paranormal. Jacoby loves the heat and is frugal — which is odd for a toddler. Jacoby’s family was lost during the witch addled Mummy Strut through Strangetown.
*credits: Joedy*
Violet Darkbloom is a 4-5-4-7-5 Aquarius interested in Sci-Fi and the paranormal. She’s a natural cook and has commitment issues. Violet’s parents turned into vampires to escape certain death. They tried to turn Violet also, but she didn’t want to commit.
Jude Corduroy is a 2-6-4-8-5 Aquarius interested in animals and Sci-Fi. He’s charismatic and a natural born performer. Jude lost his parents, famous theater actors from Belladonna Cove, when they were scared to death by drowned ghosts during a production of the thriller, “Pool Without A Ladder.”
Riley Fairweather is a 5-3-10-1-6 Pisces interested in Sci-Fi. She loves cars and she loves to swim. Riley lost her family during the Great Mob War of the Montys and the Capps.
Liam Sidebottom is a 6-4-5-6-4 Taurus interested in travel and entertainment. He is inappropriate and excitable. Liam lost his family when rioting mermaids flooded his hometown of Bluewater Village.
Micah Mippolati, heir of the famous Singing Mippolatis, is a 3-1-8-10-3 Sagittarius interested in sports and entertainment. He is athletic and lucky. Micah’s parents starved themselves to death after the witches replaced the entire SimCity Orchestra with Servos.
Butterfly Whitefeather is an 8-4-3-5-5 Capricorn interested in toys and entertainment. She’s ambitious and family-oriented. Unfortunately Butterfly’s parents were trampled to death when the Bigfoot population raided the Fairy Forest during a family vacation in Three Lakes.
Felicity is a 3-5-3-6-8 Family/Popularity Aquarius interested in sports and the paranormal. Felicity likes sweet-smelling but dirty brunettes and science! She’s excitable, nurturing, childish, socially awkward and has quite a few allergies.
While the children investigate their new digs…
Felicity gets cracking on the Parenting books left to her by architect Fitz Biltmore.
Micah and Butterfly, who look like twins in their matching outfits, are excited to be the first to use the activity table.
Felicity: *reading* “… Like babies, toddlers can be removed by a social worker if certain motives are allowed to drop critically low, or if they become too hot or too cold.” Wait, I have to remove children from their home if their parents can’t take care of them? Where would I put them? There’s no room here!
Don’t worry about that, Felicity. All of the parents in Oceanside are extremely attentive to their children. You won’t have to remove any of them from their homes.
Newsie Calvin O’Gill stops by to deliver the paper.
Calvin: I’m an orphan, can I move in? Please?
Sorry dude, no vacancies for teens.
Elise joins the overalls twins and discovers her true passion.
Jacoby gives love to Paddy McPatches — the homes’ teddy bear.
Felicity takes a break from studying to greet Sister Becca Goodacre — Oceanside’s Peteran Priest. Felicity’s main goal, besides taking care of her wards, is to find them good, loving homes. A Priest’s home would be excellent placement.
Always vetting for suitable prospective parents, Felicity asks Becca her feelings on Oceanside’s criminal system and it’s laws for punishment.
Sister Becca believes that sims shouldn’t punish other sims for their wrong-doings. That should be left to the Watcher.
Felicity hopes the crazy priest never tries to adopt one of her kids.
Interrupting their conversation to meet the lovely new resident is musician Kendrick Troubadour.
Inside Liam, Riley, and Jude rock out to the salsa station.
Just when Felicity starts to ask Kendrick uncomfortable, personal questions in the hope he will adopt a child…
the Oceanside Welcome Wagon shows up to meet the new social worker and her kids.
Doctor-in-training Minka Yomoshoto, however, has a problem with one of the orphanage’s visitors and gives him a piece of her mind.
Kendrick is sick of Minka acting like she’s better than everyone else. She’s become more confrontational every time he sees her. This needs to stop.
Felicity is super excited to meet the man who brought her here, politician Malcolm Landgraab X. She can’t wait until City Hall is built. She’s already picked out which cat posters would look great in her office! Unfortunately Malcolm disagrees that City Hall is a place for cat posters.
Cadet Sadie Biltmore decides to test out the tire swing — just to make sure it’s safe for the kidlets. 😉
Malcolm makes Felicity aware of the dangerous, gun-toting cat burglar that is terrorizing the island. Felicity is starting to feel like Oceanside isn’t the safest place to be…
Minka’s and Kendrick’s poke-fest become a slap-fest. Minka is angry at everyone — Kendrick for cheating on her, Diego for cheating on her, and herself for fighting with Diego. She’s finally going to take that anger out on the one that started it all.
Next on Felicity’s get-to-know list is Treasurer Vivian Landgraab. Viv is in charge of paying Felicity’s salary so she better kiss up to her!
As Kendrick tries to walk away from a full-blown fight with Minka, Becca tries to diffuse the situation with an uplifting verse from The Word of The Watcher.
Minka didn’t like Becca before and she definitely doesn’t like her now that she’s all preachy!
Malcolm meets Riley!
Dawwwwww!
Becca schmoozes teacher Selena Firestone — always on the lookout for more parishioners for her church.
Minka follows Kendrick inside. More poking occurs.
Micah and Jude huggle. ^.^
Felicity heads inside to make lunch for the Welcome Wagon. She hopes the sweet smell of bologna sandwiches can break up the poke-and-slap-a-polooza happening in her living room.
Surprisingly Malcolm is always thinking of having another child. Since Viv has already stated she will never get pregnant again, maybe they could adopt an orphan?
Kendrick, at his wit’s end with the shoving and slapping, slaps Minka back!
Felicity: OK fight club, let’s break it up. Yummy lunch meat sandwiches! Come and get ’em!
Felicity always has a happy disposition.
Kendrick, again, tries to walk away from Minka when…
Minka: Go ahead and run you little baby! You want one of these bottles, baby boy? You need your diaper changed? Going to go cry to your Mommy?
Kendrick: Oh. Hell. No…
Oh dear.
Felicity: NO, DON’T HURT HIS PRETTY FACE!!!
Sadie! You’re a police officer! Do something!
Sadie: Minka Yomoshoto is getting her ass kicked, you say? Well, technically I’m not an officer yet. Best let these two work out their differences on their own…
SADIE!!!!!!
Um Sadie, I don’t think Minka is losing…
Right now Sadie could care less about Minka and Kendrick’s fight. She’s being serenaded by her man!
Luckily the toddlers start heading to their beds, missing all of the drama.
All except one.
Elise: Kick his ass, Lady!!!
Poor Felicity doesn’t know what to do! How can two adult sims carry on this way in front of the children?
Sadie walks right by the cloud of fists!
Sadie: I don’t think I should get involved…
Fitz congratulates Becca on receiving her priesthood. He lets her know that his family will be there for her first sermon.
Sadie: Wait, what now?
Liam loves the castle.
WILL THIS EVER END!!!???
Minka is racking up the enemies.
And then when I went to check their furious status… this is what I see! What the hell, Minka!! You want him back after you kicked his ass?
Becca’s not sure if she should be dancing after the fight — but she does anyway.
Selena, Kendrick, and Vivian eat in silence after his humiliating defeat. Kendrick hopes word of his loss doesn’t get to his girlfriend Brodie Mason. She won’t take the news well.
Outside Felicity greets Becca’s husband Owen Goodacre…
and Kendrick’s sister Matisse Troubadour.
I don’t know if Kendrick has a death wish or if he really thinks he can go another round with Minka!
Making out with your husband won’t distract them from fighting again!
Before things get too heated again Felicity asks Kendrick to leave.
All is peaceful again as night falls on the orphanage.
Felicity takes care of the kidlets…
while Minka continues to scowl and hate life.
It’s late and Felicity has a lot of work to do, so she says goodnight to the Welcome Wagon.
Liam wonders why no one is taking him home with them.
Dance party time with Jude, Liam, and Violet.
Jacoby draws a mini masterpiece.
Felicity does a steady stream of diaper changes…
takes a bath…
and hits the hay.
What an eventful first day!
Monday, Day 15
“Everyone Poops”
Most of the kids are up and moving before their poor, tired guardian awakens.
I see Kendrick made a lasting impression…
No time for sexy Kendrick Troubadour dreams, Missy. There’s stinky children to change.
Jacoby takes out all of his aggression on Paddy McPatches.
Felicity’s morning is an endless loop of changing diapers and being grossed out by them.
A quick breakfast of cereal hits the spot.
Elise levitates while shy dancing! Could she be a witch?
Outside Felicity introduces herself to restaurant owner George Lambswool…
and mailman Lars Shadow.
Nannies Angie and Cindy Lou Killeen also stop by the orphanage. The ladies are interested in starting a family of their own and they’re hoping they can find the right child to add to it.
While speaking with Malcolm, Felicity learned that it was Angie’s idea to appoint a social worker for the community. She’s truly grateful to Angie for all that she’s done. Felicity suggests that maybe Angie should run for public office.
Angie, however, believes her talents are best left where they are — educating the toddlers of Oceanside at her day care.
Also stopping by is floozy — I mean Garden Club member — Marilla Robbins.
Felicity returns talking to the prospective parents and finds that she and Cindy Lou like a lot of the same things — including side braids. Felicity hopes they can become fast friends.
George: If it’s Winter, why isn’t there any snow?
OMG George, you can’t just ask Winter why it doesn’t have any snow!
Elise, Butterfly, and Riley hang out waiting for someone to notice them.
He’s taken, Felicity!
Felicity makes lunch while — she hopes — her guests are mingling with the children…
but… nope.
Butterfly might be my favorite. Not even going to apologize.
Marilla: So then Yasmin and I totally made out in the hot tub while her girlfriend was sleeping!
Marilla! You’re not supposed to go around telling everyone!
Marilla: My bad! Tee Hee!
I so hate you.
Poor Liam wants Felicity to read him a story but her fun is so low she doesn’t even want to look at a book.
Angie suggests that she and Cindy Lou help out at the orphanage. That way they will be able to give Felicity a bit of a break and they could meet all of the toddlers and find one to adopt. Cindy Lou loves the idea!
Felicity actually catches one of the toddlers before they pooped their pants!
Jacoby doesn’t seem to be a fan of the potty. 🙁
Neither does Felicity.
Minka shows up to apologize to Felicity about her rotten behavior last night. She didn’t mean to have a fist fight in front of all of the kids. There’s just something about Kendrick Troubadour that drives her to murder!
Felicity invites her back in but she’s going to make sure she is never in the same room with those two again.
George is a dancing machine!
No! Don’t greet Diego Bossanova! That’s the other guy Minka’s fighting with!
Felicity barely knows Minka but she’s already sticking up for her.
Felicity: You can come in but if you start poking Minka — or any other sim for that matter — I’ll toss your keister on the pavement!
Elise wants to be read to…
but first Felicity has to greet natural scientist Yasmin Onnen.
Yasmin: Hey Ang, CL! OoooK… you’re making out… I’ll just… dance or something.
Oh honey, don’t dance.
With Minka inside Diego decides to hang outside at the swing instead.
Oh Yaz, even your jump off doesn’t want to hit it anymore!
Apparently Elise is also part dog.
Cindy Lou and Angie are wondering if they should change their minds about adopting these foul-smelling creatures.
But they’re so cute!
Angie tells BFF Minka that she and Cindy Lou are planning on adopting one of the orphans. Minka is so happy for them. She admires them taking on an unknown child with unknown habits and temperament.
OK WE GET IT!!!
With that Felicity says good night to her guests.
Cindy Lou says a special goodnight to Elise. Has she already picked a favorite?
Now that the guests are gone it’s back to diaper duty for Felicity.
The art wall is growing!
Then it’s bedtime for all of the little Waywards.
Tuesday, Day 16
“Hard Choices”
The toddlers are ready to start their day.
Their guardian, however, is not.
First up for potty training is Miss Violet.
Jacoby has hover power too! Are there two witches in Oceanside?
As the sun comes up Felicity tries to sneak in a couple of hours of sleep.
Liam and Butterfly follow her everywhere she goes.
Violet does a little victory dance after completing her first art project.
CL stops by to help out for the day. Hopefully she’ll find the right child to adopt into their home.
Culinary expert Paragon Barrett walks by and Felicity stops him to say hello.
When asked what he does, Felicity was very happy to learn that Paragon has a bakery opening this Winter. Felicity loves cakes!
Cindy Lou introduces herself to all of the orphans.
And traumatizes each one with that facial expression!
Felicity and Paragon get along rather well but she’s not really interested in the Draco Malfoy look.
I love shy dancing so much! ^.^
Felicity tries a new recipe given to her from Paragon for shrimp gumbo.
Elise is CL’s next victim…
while Paragon swings on the tire.
CL gives potty training a try with Micah.
No one wants a mom that looks like she’s going to eat them!
Jacoby: Miss Felicity, please save me from this scary woman!
Also stopping by is scientist Achilles Brook. Even though they both enjoy the marvels of science Felicity isn’t interested in him romantically either. She seems to only like the married men. 🙁
CL spends some time with Butterfly changing diapers and carrying her around.
Riley is a smart one. She knows to go right up to the adults and ask for attention. She’s going to be adopted by someone, damn it.
After harassing Paragon, Riley crawls right up to Cindy Lou demanding a story.
Achilles, unfortunately, finds the stereo and starts moving… strangely.
Someone else wants a story.
Cindy Lou does not approve of mucus flicking while a reading of Denim Coveralls is in progress!
A beat Felicity says goodnight to her guests…
and goes to bed.
While the others sleep…
Jude is up and playing his little heart out.
Here comes the stinky little boy committee.
You knew the job was dangerous when you took it.
Wednesday, Day 17
“Total Chaos”
Poor Felicity has to eat her leftovers amongst the flies and spoiled dinner.
Elise makes sure the remaining sleeping toddlers are aware of her strife!
Elise: Wake up and change me, woman!!!
She doesn’t have time to read the paper! She has to take care of eight babies!!
Micah seems to be the lucky one that gets potty trained the most.
Violet and her cute dancing!! ^.^
While Felicity takes a bath…
Angie stops by to meet the orphans and help out for the day.
Felicity isn’t much of a coffee drinker but she needs something to keep her awake. Maybe a little hot cocoa will hit the spot.
Felicity loves taking care of the children but sometimes she needs a break. All of the stinky diapers and screaming, demanding toddlers are driving her bonkers!
She’s thankful Angie is here. She can sit down and relax for a sec.
After meeting all of the toddlers…
Angie potty trains Butterfly…
and teaches Jacoby about the different branches of government… through the orange dragon.
Ang is pretty sure she knows which kid she and Cindy Lou should adopt. She’s excited with the thought of raising a child of her own!
More potty training — this time it’s Liam’s turn.
Felicity just isn’t her joyful, bouncy self today.
But a hug from Jacoby makes it all better!
*Best Friends*
Angie has a rousing game of peek-a-boo with little Miss Butterfly.
Felicity finally gets a chance to sit down and watch a movie. She approves of Angie and Butterfly together and thinks both her and Cindy Lou will make great parents to one of her kids.
After Angie leaves Felicity takes a nap. She’s so happy that one of her kids will find a good home but it’s also bittersweet knowing that she will lose one of them.
Who…
will…
it…
be?
Elise: Hello? I’m locked out again. Anyone…?
Notes: I tried to have Felicity greet everyone that walked by so I could get an idea if anyone wanted to adopt a toddler. Angie and Cindy Lou were givens because they are always thinking of having a baby. I had them come back alone so they would focus on hanging out with the kids instead of making googly eyes at each other. 😉
Credits: Most of the toddlers come from my old, dead hood, Santo Bellagio where I mixed a lot of pre-mades together to get their off-spring.
Felicity is Pet Stories Amaya Flores fixed by me to have an elder state. (None of the Pet Stories pre-mades have an elder state. If aged up they would have the default Face 2.)
Felicity’s Parenting book passages come from The Sims Wiki.
Thank you for reading!!! ^.^
