“Are You There Watcher? It’s Me, Becca.”
Warnings: religion, fire, slaughtered animals, water infestation, and a toddler hugglefest.

Sunday, Day 14
“Fire Starter”
Winter arrives to Goodacre’s Farm. The animals however seem to be impervious to the winter chill.
*Pop #1*
The Goodacres are still in the running towards becoming Oceanside’s Top Baby Makers.
Farmer and grocery store owner Owen Goodacre feeds his youngest daughter Holly before tending to the animals and the crops.
As the sun rises the farm’s inhabitants begin their day. Eve, the oldest of the Goodacre children, plays with her favorite toy bunny head.
Sister Becca, Oceanside’s Priest, devout Peteran, and matriarch of the brood, helps middle child Faith to the potty.
*potty training besties*
While Faith concentrates…
Becca heads downstairs to fix the Oceanside staple of shrimp gumbo for breakfast.
Just as Becca turns her back to get more seasoning the gumbo catches fire!
Because of her belief of “Watcher Take The Wheel” Becca refused to purchase a fire alarm like every other sim in town. Who will come to her rescue? Owen?
Owen: Wowza, these coffee beans sure do pack a punch!
OWEN YOUR WIFE IS ON FIRE!!!
Becca gathers her senses. Knowing that only she can save herself Becca valiantly sprays the fire until the flames subside.
Becca thought she understood all of the Watcher’s teachings however she now understands so much more. The Watcher will intervene but only to those sims with enough common sense to value their own lives. Perhaps, Becca muses, the Goodacres should invest in a fire alarm…
Owen heads inside for breakfast and dutifully listens to Becca’s tale of fire and the revelation she had.
Owen politely waits until Becca leaves the room before gagging on the burnt meal.
As he continues his chores Owen is greeted by two of his fellow Garden Clubbers, Tiara Hough…
and Marilla Robbins who doesn’t seem too happy about the expansion of the still locked business district.
Owen invites the ladies to hang out on the farm while finishes his chores.
Owen quickly gathers eggs before they hatch. The barnyard is almost overrun with chickens!
Faith thinks she’s helping her Mommy by cleaning the toilet… with her bare hands…
>.>
It’s feeding and changing time for baby Holly.
And for Owen it’s kick the crap out of the Chicken Farmer time.
The hell?
Becca gives Holly one long last look before she puts her down for her nap. Soon Holly will be a toddler. Where has all of the time gone?
She’s so thankful that they will be blessed with another baby in their happy home. She firmly believes in the Watcher’s number one commandment: Go Forth and Multiply!
While Owen returns to the crops…
Marilla makes herself at home in the water tank — in her usual fashion. Little do the residents of Oceanside know the bottled water that they buy from the grocery store actually comes from this tank!
Tiara takes this time to hang out with our little exhibitionist. Since Marilla’s hire Tiara hasn’t had a chance to get to know the newest Garden Club Enforcer. Maybe if she could get Marilla on her side the three girls could out-vote Rocky and Bruce’s lame ideas to further the bubble juice empire.
Owen has the bright idea to potty train the youngsters using his old, unused milking pails. Some would call that ingenuity — others would call that laziness.
They also temporarily removed Becca’s flower crafting station to add an outdoor shower in the barn. This way Owen doesn’t have to walk all of the way back to the house when he’s stinky.
Eve gleefully sings a nursery rhyme while hanging out in the barn.
The beans are looking good! Time to harvest them before the winter chill sets in.
Cosmetologist Brodie Mason stops by to peruse the Goodacre’s paper.
Hey Brodie, look! It’s the animal that gave you the inspiration for your hair color. *gigglesnort*
After a quick supper Becca turns in for the night.
Owen comes up with some of his best jokes while talking to the veggies.
It’s Faith’s turn on the milk pail potty.
*potty training besties*
Marilla and Tiara help themselves to the Goodacre’s good nectar!
It has taken Owen all day to do his chores and he still has much more to do.
Since it’s getting late he sends Marilla and Tiara packing…
and has a quick supper. Little Faith is never too far from her Pa. She wants to take care of the farm just like him when she grows up.
As Becca wakes up to care for the little one…
Owen moseys off to bed.
*nursing besties*
After leaving Faith to potty train…
*Thanks for the tip Agdoren!*
Becca sneaks into bed to cuddle with her man.
Monday, Day 15
“Birthday Cheesecake”
The first frost!
*Are the fishies still alive?*
Owen’s first chore of the day: fixing all of the broken things on the farm.
Or trying to fix all of the broken things on the farm.
Sometime during the night/morning Becca had her second *pop*.
Faith earns her first skill point ^.^
After repairing the tub and the dishwasher Owen calls their friends and their kids over for Holly’s birthday party!
*Dang NPC animals taking up space on my lot.* *grumbles*
The toddler guests march right in!
After magically transporting all of the adult guests *grumbles* they head straight for the barnyard — as per usual.
Owen takes a moment to freshen Holly up before her big transition.
Heath’s outerwear! <3
The toddlers groove in front of the stereo.
Architect Fitz Biltmore can’t tell the difference between the pig and artist/journalist Matisse Troubadour! How rude!
Owen sets the cake up in the barnyard since that’s where everyone likes to hang.
It’s time to say good-bye to baby Holly!
Eeep! It looks as though Holly has been subjected to a Brodie Mason make-over!
Owen: Hon, do you wanna gussy up Little Holly?
Becca: Can’t right now, Hon. I gotta check on the kids!
*sneaks away with a slice of cake*
Awwww, Daddy loves you, crazy haircut and all.
Owen makes his way inside to give Holly a new look.
Holly Goodacre is a 3-2-8-3-10 Pisces. She’s super interested in school, entertainment, travel, and sci-fi (and by super interested I mean 9’s in all of those). She inherited her straight hair, chin dimple and love of meat from her Pa, and her freckles and prudish ways from her Ma.
The hugglefest commences! Gavin Biltmore and Piper Mason-Troubadour hug it out.
Next up, brothers Henry and Antonio Lambswool.
Becca treats the guests to farm-fresh chicken!
So long, Señor Chicken.
*Literally from farm to table*
Holly is another addition to the Gorgeous Goodacre Girls.
WAY TO GO, EVE!!!!!!
I’m not sure if Gwyneth Landgraab is aware that Heath Biltmore is not really a giant teddy bear.
Twin love with Henry and Bianca Lambswool.
*I really wish there was a way to call guests to the meal with the farm animals* *grumbles more*
Day Care worker Cindy Lou Killeen adds her flavor to the water tank.
Heath makes his first non-relative bestie!
Heath’s brother Aiden huggles with Aria Mason-Troubadour.
Restaurant owner George Lambswool grabs a slice of yummy cake.
Bianca and Little Malcolm Landgraab become friends.
While the toddlers continue their huggle cuteness Becca sneaks away for a much-needed nap.
Cutie-face Kenna Biltmore rocks out.
Holly receives a warm welcome to the toddler club hug from Aria.
Now that there’s a bakery in Oceanside folks will be going there for their birthday cakes instead of asking George to make them. George enjoys his last homemade-by-him slice.
Poem Mason-Troubadour is still trying to be my favorite of her household.
I know, it’s just too much! Here’s Cyan Troubadour-Bossanova with Bianca.
Whether there’s a party going on or not Owen has to get back to the fields and tend the crops. He sure will be glad when the girls are older so he can have some help out here!
The party was just too much for little Holly.
Fitz silently watches as his secret crush Minka Yomoshoto walks by. He knows things are hard for her right now. She always looks so sad and upset. He wishes there was something he could do for her.
Owen Goodacre, King of The Terrible Party.
* I wonder if the NPC animal’s moods add to the party score? Hmmmm… *
The babies say goodbye to their buddies.
Thanks for coming Ezra Biltmore and Tabitha Landgraab!
Eve uses the potty for the first time on her own ^.^
Owen sends treasurer Vivian Landgraab a whopping §6840 in taxes! That might be the highest tax sent!
Owen replaces the fish that seem to die at the end of every season 🙁 …
then heads upstairs to give Faith a much needed bath.
Becca’s up from her nap.
OWEN!!!
Owen: *laughs hysterically*
Me: *sigh*
Tuesday, Day 16
“Birthin’ More Babies”
Becca likes to give birth in the kitchen.
The first Goodacre twin is … A BOY!!!!!!
The boy child aberration is quickly thrown on the floor for…
another girl!!
Becca is pleased as punch with her two new babies!
Travis Goodacre shares his father’s light skin and aqua eyes and has his mother’s brown hair.
Sarah Goodacre shares her mother’s tan skin and brown hair and has her father’s aqua eyes.
For now the twins are placed in Faith’s and Eve’s cribs. The Goodacres will juggle rooms around after Eve transitions to a child in the Spring.
All of the morning’s excitement won’t deter his chores. Owen needs to harvest the crops and get them to market.
Becca is determined to get the shrimp gumbo recipe right. Let’s cross our fingers.
She did it!
Owen packs up all of the fruit and veg to sell at the store.
“You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life…”
After a quick breakfast with his lovely wife…
Owen heads out to the store.
With a small detour.
Owen is so thankful that Becca changed her mind on owning a fire alarm. As bad as she cooks Owen knew it was only a matter of time before she burned the whole farm down.
It seems there are still remnants of the last unhappy customer.
Cadet Sadie Biltmore sure will be glad when they find a new Fire Chief to man the Station so she doesn’t have to keep leaving home to ring up these sims!
Sadie: How dare that bubble juice hustler waltz into my station!
Oh Sadie, if you only knew.
The fire alarm and a toy for the girls are successfully purchased!
After horsing around with his buddy George…
Owen high-tails it to Goodacre’s Grocery Store.
Owen dons his spiffy new uniform…
and adds new items to the shelves.
Garden Clubbers Bruce Jelleff…
and Tiara are the first to shop.
*I don’t know why they came holding bags. Game is buggin’.*
Quirky GC’er Heaven Gallo rounds out the customers.
Bruce is interested in a crate of Owen’s organic oranges.
Owen chats up Ms. Gallo. He seems to like her…
really likes her!
YOU ARE A MARRIED MAN, SIR!
OWEN!!!
One of the things Owen likes best about joining the Garden Club is getting to hang out with all of the pretty fillies.
Jeez, all we need is Rocky and then the whole GC Mafia will be here.
Woot!
Owen wants his customers’ trust. What better way than to have a sterling reputation!
Items are selling mighty fast!
All in all Goodacre’s Grocery Store is doing really well. Owen hopes his kids will work with him in the store when they’re old enough. Maybe one will even open a branch of their own in the business district!
Closing time.
Owen restocks what he can.
^.^
Back at the farm…
Becca resumes her super-mom abilities. With the help of the coffee beans and Owen this last pregnancy was easier than the first three. Becca’s ready to have even more!
You know I have favorites in every house, right? Faith is my Goodacre favorite ^.^
The boy demands attention.
Even though he was unexpected Becca thanks the Watcher for granting her a son. Becca just hopes Travis will grow to like pink and yellow because she doesn’t want to redecorate.
Poor Faith! How can your life be so bad?
Eve is the first to try out the art table — Holly’s transition present.
After a quick bath…
Becca changes into a new rootin’ tootin’ outfit!
*That I copypasta’d meself* *pats self on back, lulz*
Becca offers another chick to the chopping block. Bye-bye, Chicken Little.
I was wondering why no new eggs were laid or new babies were born! All of the chickens are roosters! Uh boy.
WHO THE HELL KNOCKED OVER THE TRASHCAN!!!!!!!
Holly discovers her true passion in the Sego blocks!
It’s time for Faith to visit the potty.
YAAAASSSSS!!!!
Two toddlers potty trained in one season!!! Becca and Owen are the shit!!
Becca cleans up the spilt trash. She blames those pesky wild raccoons.
Owen returns and heads straight to the garden. To his surprise Becca joins him!
And so does Eve! ^.^
After harvesting the couple retreats to their room…
Wednesday, Day 17
“Church Lady”
Boo-hoo Bunny has been loved.
Midnight feeding for baby Travis! Owen is ecstatic to have a son. He can’t wait to buy Travis his first cowboy boots and teach him how to rope a steer.
Before heading out to the field Owen gives baby-making another try.
*chimes*
The Goodacre’s weeds are getting out of hand. They better get a handle on it or they’ll be hit with a Garden Club fine.
Becca earns cooking enthusiasm in her sleep. Boss.
Feeding time in the barnyard.
Becca hurries to bathe and get ready. Today she will give her very first sermon. She’s so nervous!
She’s got shrimp gumbo down to a science now!
Owen belches his agreement!
Another little Goodacre is on the way.
Good luck, Sister Becca!
For the first time Becca enters Our Gray Lady of Plumbobs Peteran Church as a bonafide priest.
A prayer altar was added for those who want to pray privately.
Becca is pumped. She has been rehearsing her sermon for days. She can’t wait to fill Oceanside with the loving Word of The Watcher!
As she dons her Peteran robes a thought of terror strikes her. What if no one shows? What if Oceanside isn’t ready for the Word of The Watcher?
However there were two residents that said they would be there for her first sermon, Angie Killeen and Fitz Biltmore. She’s so grateful they kept their word.
The guests take their seats as Becca nervously makes her way to the pulpit.
As she begins Fitz and Angie stand beside her and listen intently.
Suddenly another sim arrives (Malcolm Landgraab X).
And another.
And another!
Becca can’t believe that so many sims came to her inaugural sermon. She is so happy she could cry.
Towards the end of the sermon the parishioners were so moved that they began hugging each other.
Great job, Becca!
After the sermon Becca washes her hands in the Blessed Water Font baptizing herself as a Peteran. She welcomes the others, if they enjoyed her sermon and are ready to become servants of the Watcher, to do the same.
The parishioners first head outside to donate to the church.
*AKA I forgot to set up the ticket machine when Becca first arrived*
Angie is the first to be baptized.
One by one the parishioners make their way to the font and become baptized! Becca is quite pleased!
*church besties*
George hopes that by joining the church his restaurant will be successful.
Becca has successfully converted five sims!
After the baptisms Becca speaks with her parishioners about important issues and how the Watcher will guide their decisions.
Selena Firestone and Noelee Andrews are curious about the church. Perhaps they will attend the next service.
Tiara is the first to leave. Becca was overjoyed that a non-resident attended a service and even more ecstatic that she converted! Hopefully Tiara will spread the word to her friends.
Becca is thoroughly enjoying the rousing discussions with her parishioners.
It’s getting very late so Becca closes the church.
Before leaving Becca makes a wish at the statue of the Gray Lady, the patron saint of her church. She wishes for a long, happy life blessed with lots of children.
Back at the farm…
At least Faith is happy *bright side*
A house full of stinky kids doesn’t faze Owen Goodacre! He can handle it!
Stinky potties, however, he can do without.
It’s time for Holly’s first potty training lesson.
*potty training besties*
Next it’s bath time for Eve.
Holly found the toy fire truck Owen bought from the Fire Station. She loves the siren and the flashing lights!
Vivian stops by to assess the Goodacre’s lawn. After more than four days it is still a weeded mess. Owen is hit with a Garden Club fine!
No skin off of Owen’s back. The Goodacres are the second richest family in Oceanside after the Landgraabs. They can spare a measly §500.
Owen gives Sarah her first turn at the baby jumpy.
Then it’s back to chores.
Owen attempts to cull the weed situation but it’s going to take him a while.
Becca returns from church and helps by cleaning up the yard.
Goodnight from Goodacre’s Farm!
Notes: Please note that I am NOT a religious person and I am in no way forcing any type of religion on you or your sims. My view of the “Peteran” religion and a “Priest” comes from The Sims Medieval and is loosely based on Christianity and Catholicism.
The best thing about the farm is that the Goodacres never ran out of groceries this whole year! ^.^ But, again, I wish someone could mod the slaughtered food so you could put them away as leftovers and be able to call to meal. So much waste. 🙁
Thank you for reading!!! ^.^
