Sunday, Day 14
“Can’t We All Just Get Along”
After much complaining from their fellow Oceansidians regarding their unsightly, junky yard, the Firestones renovated their condo to include an enclosed garage hiding Connor’s automobile restorations.
A definitive departure from Oceanside’s usual clapboard architecture, the Firestones new home boasts a stucco exterior, curved arches, and iron accents.
The entryway continues with the same earthy colors as the previous condo.
Selena’s many knickknacks are proudly displayed in front of the stairway.
The dining room connects to the kitchen and living room.
This door leads to the new garage.
At the front of the house is Selena’s office. This was the perfect place to put the piece she bought from Healey Potter.
The bright and happy kitchen is Selena’s favorite room in the house.
Attached to the kitchen is the living room.
Connor and Selena’s cozy yet spacious master bedroom.
Favorite memories hang in the master bedroom.
The master bath with walk-in shower.
Connor now has his own weather-proof area to work on “Bessie.”
He can’t forget his first love — surfing!
More happy memories are located on the second level.
Upstairs is a larger laundry room…

Connor’s current position as a Tow Truck Driver means that he actually needs a tow truck! Luckily, since the tow truck technically belongs to his shop, he can write it off as a tax expense (*as in he didn’t have to pay for it*).
Mechanic Connor Firestone and his lovely wife Educator Selena Firestone take the opportunity to sleep in.
Baby Roman is awake but not crying. Maybe he’s too afraid of the technicolor crib pad he’s laying on to scream.
Oldest son Nico is consistently getting shocked by his toy robot yet he keeps trying to play with it 😒
Selena wakes up singing a happy tune…
and tossing her cookies.

Connor’s buddy Musician Kendrick Troubadour stops by but is hesitant to ring the doorbell. Since he has been fighting with Selena’s sister-in-law he’s not too sure if he’s welcome in the Firestone’s home.
Even though she totally sides with her BFF, Selena still greets Kendrick with a big hug. She hates that everysim is at odds with one another. She helped Minka and her brother make peace — and look how well that turned out! Maybe she could do the same for Kendrick and Minka?
Selena comes back inside to start on breakfast.
Second-born son Vin makes an appearance in his cute pajamas.
It’s a little too early for a dance party Kendrick, but go ahead and do your thing.
Comfort soup always helps Selena fight morning sickness.
Connor finally wakes up…
and changes and plays with Nico.
As Kendrick grabs a bowl and joins her for breakfast, Selena broaches the subject of repairing his and Minka’s relationship. She doesn’t believe for one second that they actually hate each other. Maybe she could convince them both to sit down and discuss things like adults.
Unfortunately the conversation doesn’t last long.
Selena quickly recovers and attends to a horribly stinky Vin.
The brief talk with Selena got Kendrick thinking. He never thought about how his feud with Minka would effect his relationship with his friends. Kendrick and Connor have become the best of friends — but Connor’s also best friends with Diego, Minka’s new husband. Now that they’re family where would that leave Kendrick?
Connor just wants to stay out of it. To him this feud between Minka and Kendrick needs to end. Since Kendrick and Diego used to be friendly, maybe they can work out their differences first — before dealing with Minka. Kendrick’s not sure if he’s ready for all of that.
After breakfast Connor sets up the kids’ activity table in Selena’s office. Now there’s room for all of the kids to play and color.
Don’t give me that “It wasn’t me” face! At least you have a hubby with some mechanical skill to fix it. Selena adds the shower to his honey-do list.
Kendrick: *shakes his head* Lilith always lets Angela get away with that shit…
I see he’s a fan of Pleasantview too.
Roman is finally tired of his brightly colored cage.
As Mom rescues the baby…
Dad heads out to his garage, Oceanside Customs.
After opening the shop Connor starts “Buster’s” bodywork.
Kendrick’s lady, Cosmetologist Brodie Mason, is the first to saunter into the shop.
Brodie thinks Kendrick will get a kick out of this RC dune buggy.
The next customer is Baker Paragon Barrett.
Paragon seems to be interested in the spring rider thingy. It might be a good gift for his roommate Achilles’ son Hiro.
After grabbing the radio-controlled car, Brodie slips into her old ways of consulting with the Cup On A Stick for advice.
Brodie: Cup On A Stick, nothing I do is getting me out of my depression. Not shopping. Not woohooing other guys. What should I do?
Cup On A Stick: *whispers* You have the power to vanquish Minka Yomoshoto once and for all.
Brodie: But shouldn’t I just leave her alone? She MARRIED that asshole — even after all the things he did to her! She seems happy…
Cup On A Stick: *whispers* You have power Minka Yomoshoto knows not.
Brodie: I do?!
Cup On A Stick: *whispers* Neither can live while the other survives…
Brodie: Thank you, wise Cup On A Stick!
Brodie: I guess that settles it. I have to get rid of Minka Yomoshoto once and for all!
Paragon nabs the spring rider and peruses the RC cars. Looks like he’s stocking up for an addition to the family…
Buster is looking pretty good! Soon it will be ready to sell.
Paragon purchases his finds…
and so does Brodie…
however neither one leaves the garage.
Connor takes a break for a quick shower…
and a bit of caffeine.
Paragon sneaks in one more purchase before closing time.

then takes a quick nap herself.

Monday, Day 15
“Bad Robot”

No time to change the babies. Selena wakes up starving.

Selena takes care of the tots…
before having another bout of morning sickness.

Selena feeds and burps her way to bestie status with Roman.
I’m sure Connor will figure out a way to get back in the Mayor’s good graces… like giving him another car!
Selena hopes she’ll be able to keep down today’s breakfast of shrimp gumbo.
At breakfast Connor relays the conversation he had with Kendrick the previous night.
Connor: If anyone can help put back the pieces to their relationship it’s you, babe.
Selena vows to do everything possible to get Kendrick and Minka back on speaking terms.
Then he’s off to the garage.
The Firestones settle in for a mid-morning nap.
Great Plumbob would someone fix this damn thing so the child won’t die trying to play with his toy!!

Connor races upstairs to care for a hungry Roman…

OK THAT’S HOW YOU BROKE IT THE FIRST TIME, DUMB-ASS!
Minka Yomoshoto — town doctor, BFF sister-in-law, boxing champ — stops by to check out the new remodel and to have dinner with her bestie. After everything that’s gone down Minka now knows who her real friends are and she’s grateful for Selena and Connor’s support.
Minka watches a movie while waiting for Selena to wake up from her nap.
*Potty Training Besties*
Diego Bossanova — dancer, brother, BFF, womanizer — also stops by and receives a warm welcome from his bestie Connor. With both Diego and Minka here maybe the Firestones can convince them to end this feud with Kendrick and Brodie.
But first…
taxes must be paid.
Connor also — finally — pays Nanny Angie Killeen for all of the babysitting she’s done in the past.
Diego is still fuming over his fight with Minka’s ex, Achilles.
But he doesn’t let that stop him from having a good time. He won, after all — he got Minka!
Connor keeps to his “I’m staying out of it” motto by working on Bessie while Selena negotiates a cease fire. His wife is so much better at these things anyhow.
Diego spends time with his nephew Vin teaching him the latest dance moves.

Selena makes a fresh batch of shrimp gumbo since the one from breakfast went sour.
Minka steps in to check out the new garage.
Connor: *thinks* Oh no, she’s coming this way! Don’t make eye contact. Don’t make eye contact.
Selena: This will get them in a good mood. Hopefully I can end all of this squabbling in time for Roman’s birthday party tomorrow! *smile smile*
Don’t bet on it.
Dinner starts off well enough with everyone in great spirits. Selena however is hesitant to start the conversation. Minka has gone through so much and has had friends turn their backs on her that she didn’t want her to think that she was judging her as well.
However Minka had her own news to share. She was 95% sure that she was pregnant! Of course she wouldn’t be 100% sure until the morning sickness kicked in, but she was pretty sure. Selena was ecstatic to learn she would be an aunt again! Hopefully a new baby will heal the pain she knows Minka feels after losing her other two to the orphanage.
Connor heads to bed immediately after dinner. Selena’s got this covered, he thinks.
Selena is so excited to see her brother settled down, happy, and in love! This is all she ever wanted for her twin AND her best friend.
Diego’s not the same sim that he used to be. Before he thought love was an evil demon or some crap like that. Now he’s speaking volumes of how Minka’s true love has changed him!
Now was her chance…
Selena: Since you have so much love in your heart little brother…
Selena: What about trying to mend things between you and Kendrick? You used to be best friends. I know for a fact that he wants to squash all of the shoving and poking. He really just wants to be friends again. What do you think?
Minka: WTF?
Minka: If it was up to me I’d strap Kendrick Troubadour to a rocket ship and shoot him out to Sixam! He cheated on me, Selena! Then he rubbed my nose in it and had his floozy beat me up! No way in hell is Diego going to be friends with that asshole again. I don’t know how they became friends in the first place!
Me neither to be honest with you.
Everysim: *stares awkwardly off into space*
Maybe now wasn’t a good time to try to get them back on friendly terms with Kendrick. It was too raw and everysim was still too angry. But Selena couldn’t give up. She had to make it right somehow.
Tuesday, Day 16
“Unwanted Advances”
Selena leaves the lovebirds to do — whatever it is they’re doing…
to tend to Baby Roman.

After a quick morning shower he bangs on the pipes until they’re fixed.

When he finds Selena face down in her dinner he knows there’s only one thing he can do…
Stay home from work to help with Roman’s transition.
Connor: I got chills — they’re multiplying — and I’m losing control!

Connor momentarily leaves his wife drowning in her soup…
to head to Baked for a birthday cake.
Connor is the only sim I’ve ever had who was AFRAID to get his picture taken!
The smell of the fresh baked goods is definitely Baked’s best advertisement!

Selena: Great Plumbob did I fall asleep again?!

After washing dishes…
Selena finally decides to take her ass to bed.
Now that he’s back, it’s party time!
Even though it pains him, Connor leaves Kendrick off of the party list considering nothing has changed. Diego — and now Minka — are blood. That was that.
*Note: Angie Killeen was already on the lot as a walk-by so she never got the invite 😞*
Connor, of course, invites all of their friends and their kids — including Minka’s. Since they are currently in the care of the Social Worker, she’s invited as well.
But little did anyone know that Social Worker Felicity Wayward, has a big, huge crush on our Mayor Malcolm Landgraab! Especially not him!
Malcolm: I AM A MARRIED MAN, MISS WAYWARD! *shoves*
Felicity: *in a tiny, sad voice* But… we belong together…
Sadie Biltmore: Ha, what a train wreck! *says in a lower voice* I love it!
Diego and Minka are so involved in each other…
that she doesn’t notice her long lost son Hiro Yomoshoto crawling right by her.

Roman Firestone is a 6-8-2-5-10 Libra obsessed with sports and sci-fi. He inherited his Mom’s wavy hair and over-emotional state, and his Dad’s athletic ability. Isn’t he a little doll!!?
Poor Selena slept through Roman’s whole transition. Even in her dreams she worries about the problems between Kendrick and Minka.

Minka knows Kira and Hiro are here, and she appreciates that she gets to see them, but she’s too ashamed to face them. Would they ever forgive her for letting them get taken away? So instead she focuses on her nephew Vin.

Nico keeps his Dad company as he sprays on Bessie’s primer coat.
Selena asks Angie what her advice would be on the whole Kendrick and Minka situation. Angie is also Minka’s best friend and fellow Blue Hat Society member. Maybe she has better insight. Angie agrees that the feud should end and is ready to help Selena any way she can in doing so.
Vin is still my favorite but Roman is coming in as a close second! 😄
As Connor turns in for the night…

“The Birth of A Firestone”

Welcome Mia Firestone to the family! Mia has her father’s tan skintone and her mother’s black hair and dark brown eyes.
The day Connor dreaded was finally here, he has a girl!
One look at Mia and Connor knows all of fears are justified. This beauty will have to fight ’em off with a stick, and Connor might go to jail if anyone tries to hurt his baby girl.
As Connor dotes on Lady Firestone…
Selena serves a celebratory fruit parfait breakfast.

Selena’s ride arrives but, of course, she’s going to use a vacation day. She just gave birth a few hours ago for Plumbob’s sake!

She may not have gotten Minka and Kendrick back on speaking terms but all of her do-gooding has not gone unnoticed. Selena earned herself a membership to the Blue Hat Society!
Connor wakes from his nap to get a head start on cleaning the filthy bathrooms.

Notes
- I initially just wanted to create a garage for Connor’s hoopty but the remodel got out of control! I really wanted to build Dominic Torretto’s house from Fast & Furious but the garage wouldn’t work right so ultimately I just used a house plan from some of the new homes built in my area.
I’m not sure what’s going to happen when the school opens next season. Selena’s Maxis job is going to interfere with her opening the school everyday and teaching the children. I think I might have to amend the rules so that she doesn’t actually have a Maxis Education job.
Even though Selena’s LTW is to Marry Off Six Children I didn’t have them try for baby again. Neither rolled the want to Have A Child and I’m good with four. Four is enough.
